About the role
As a Writer and Content Researcher at Croatia Navigator, you will help create clear, engaging English-language content that explains Croatian citizenship by descent and related topics to readers around the world. Much of your work will involve researching reliable sources online, organizing information, and turning it into well-written blog articles that are easy to understand and enjoyable to read.
You will work with a small, friendly team that includes Croatian professionals and colleagues based in Croatia and the United States. The role is fully remote and collaborative, and our team works entirely in Google Workspace (Google Docs, Google Drive, and Google Sheets). This position is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates who enjoy writing in English, learning new topics through research, and contributing to content that helps people reconnect with their Croatian heritage.
In this role you will
Research topics related to Croatian citizenship law, genealogy, and government procedures.
Write and edit blog articles designed to educate and attract readers searching online.
Work with Google Workspace tools such as Google Docs, Google Drive, and Google Sheets (we do not use Microsoft Office).
Review and improve existing articles to ensure accuracy and clarity.
Help organize research, notes, and source material used to support our content.
You may be a great fit for this role if you
Write strong, natural English and can communicate complex ideas clearly.
Enjoy research and are comfortable reading legal or historical documents.
Are organized and able to work independently in a remote environment.
Are curious about Croatian history, genealogy, or the Croatian diaspora.
Have experience with blogging, content writing, or online publishing.
We’re looking for someone who
Is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with a fully remote team.
Can meet deadlines and manage writing assignments independently.
Has experience using Google Workspace tools (Google Docs, Drive, and Sheets).
Understands or is interested in SEO and writing content designed to rank in search engines.
Is motivated to build professional writing experience while working with an international company.
